New Layout Schedule Change and Status

Most Important.  The Monday (9/27) evening work session at the Park has been canceled.  The contractor is not ready to keep the building open for us.  Please keep up on reading your email as other changes may happen.

Note the Sunday work session is at Drumbeat from noon to 4:00 or later.  We will be working on refurbishing some NTrak modules and the big end sections of the 'C' layout.

Status of the move.  We had about a dozen members help out.  The truck was there early as were  most of the people.  We started at 10:00 and had the truck loaded and on it's way at 11:00.  The sections and support equipment were in the new layouts space by 12:30.  Significant progress was made on assembling the sections.  Note: four sections are still at Drumbeat so we can work on the scenery for the turnaround loops.

Status of the Layout Space.  The wood sheathing for the outside of the enclosing wall is about eighty percent done.  We have to leave walkways around our layout sections for the workers access to complete the walls.  The glass has not been installed.  The doors for the layout space and the workroom are not installed.  The lighting has been installed but we may not have control of it.  The workroom is vary spacious.  We will have ample room for storing extra modules.  There is touch up work on the wall paint and caulking around the windows still to be done.

The Tinplate club benchwork is impressive and that club has started laying track.
